Moving on to whatever’s next for me

There’s no easy way for me to write this out. As a matter of fact, I really did not want to write this at all.

I’ll be perfectly honest with everyone, because it’s what you deserve after all. I have not felt like doing much when it comes to video games once ScrewAttack News kind of fell by the wayside, which was bound to happen sooner rather than later. It’s not SA’s fault they had to scrap the idea, nor am I blaming them. It had a good run and gave me some experience in what it’s like to write for a web-based organization.

However, once that ended, I really didn’t feel like doing much of anything anymore, which is a fault of mine. School was a daunting task as it was as well as going to work for the Minot Daily News full-time as a copy editor and page designer. My dual full-time statuses was one of the factors to Debased To This going from a small, die-hard community about gaming to a blog about shore living in Cornwall.

Jokes aside, this just simply isn’t for me anymore, and I would like to try and focus on other aspects of my life. It’s become a daunting thing to weigh on my mind every weekend evening to wait patiently for a couple of hours, record something, and put it up two days later (when, in actuality, it should have been made available to Patreon subscribers a day before). Sounds easy enough, but that was not my only responsibility. I wanted to try and give continuous updates to the site via news and columns, but I simply had neither the time or the will to do either.

For that, I apologize. You deserve a bit better than that and if I’m not giving this my fullest attention, it is simply not worth it, in my opinion.

So, where do I go from here? Damned if I know. For now, I just want to try and get my life and health in some kind of order. The most I’ll probably ever do is stream on either Twitch or do small YouTube videos. I honestly can’t say I’ll do both, or either, but I’m going to at least try.

So, with all of this said, I just can’t be doing whatever it is I’m doing here anymore. Does that mean the site will go down? I don’t know. If Patrick is willing to put in the effort, which he has said he will, then I say have at it, bud.

I hope you all continue to support Patrick and whomever else might be here with him as you have with just the two of us. Not just as viewers, but as friends of ours.

So, thanks.
